Workingmans Dead had just come out and the bands live performances included tunes from every corner of the American pop songbook. So Pigpens rasping and thoroughly boozed rendition of the hoary idiots lament, Katie Mae, aint much of a treat and reflects how oiled the cat was most of the time. Dark Hollow continues the sides acoustics with Lesh and Garcia on. History of The Grateful Dead, Vol. 1 Bears Choice. Grateful Dead. Released 1973. 1 Bears Choice Tracklist. Katie Mae Lyrics.
