Favorite track: My Own Town. Abulum - Glen Phillips. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. After Toad the Wet Sprocket disbanded in 1998, one of modern rock's simplistic mainstays tarnished many threads found in the ever-changing sound of alternative music. Glen Phillips, mastermind singersongwriter with an entirely original passion, refrained from music for quite a while. The integral motivation behind his other band had made the breakup bittersweet, and Phillips focused on raising a family. Glen Phillips born December 29, 1970 is an American songwriter, lyricist, singer and guitarist. He is best known as the singer and songwriter of the alternative rock group Toad the Wet Sprocket. Phillips was born in Santa Barbara, California, United States, and began making music at age 14. Glen grew up in a household where Reform Judaism was practiced and Eastern Religion was studied, and his spiritual curiosity has been one of the major themes of his writing. Album 2001 12 Songs. Only 2 left in stock - order soon. Hats off to Glen for not taking the easy way out and releasing an album that was stylistically identical to the work that he did in the 90's. With a new millenia came a new sound for Glen a record that is more in touch with the great singersongwriters of the 70's than any of Toad's albums. Even from a linguistic standpoint, Glen's use of the personal pronoun I in Back On My Feet, Maya and Darkest Hour among others serves to personalize the story within the song
