Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. William Henry Chick Webb February 10, 1905 June 16, 1939 was an American jazz and swing music drummer and band leader. Webb was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to William H. and Marie Webb. The year of his birth is disputed. Other publications claim other years. During Webb's lifetime, a December 1937 Down Beat magazine article, The Rise of a Crippled Genius, stated he was born in 1909. Here's Chick Webb and his Orchestra with a 22 year old Ella Fitzgerald singing I'M UP A TREE, recorded in 1939 and here released on a DECCA label 78 rpm. Album 2017 82 Songs. The Chick Webb Orchestra is heard in broadcasts from 1937 and 1939 the dates and personnel listing are inexcusably not given and there is less than 27 minutes of music little all that significant occurs. Ella Fitzgerald takes four vocals and the versions of That's A Plenty and One O'Clock Jump have their exciting moments but overall this is just a routine and poorly annotated set. The Mills Brothers who are not billed at all are featured on Swing Mr. The music deserves to be reissued along with some other sessions in a more cohere.
